One of the videos the girls found last week revealed incriminating evidence against Jenna, which they used to get the truth about Ali’s visit the summer she died. Jenna called her secret boyfriend, Officer Garrett, to get the video back while the girls used an anonymous number to bribe Ian and set a trap for him. However, Ian sends a messenger with the money.
Meanwhile, Spencer is involved in a car accident with her sister and returns to the church to retrieve her sister’s phone; she finds Ian waiting for her at the church. He gets the flash drive back and chases her up the bell tower where he intends to end her life like he did Allison’s. But, A intervenes and Ian ends up hanging from the ropes of the church bell. When the police arrive, Ian’s body is gone and A sends another threatening message, indicating the danger isn’t over.
In other news, Emily’s dad wants his family to move to Texas for year. Ezra gets a job at a college, but Aria fights with him when his ex arrives at a faculty mixer being held at her house. Lucas finds out that Mona is hiding Caleb’s communications from Hanna and drives him back to town.
