It doesn't work, though, because Carol arrives and backs up Charlie after Max confronts her. Serena, CeCe and Lily believe her. Ivy wants to stay as Charlie to have a family. Max vows revenge.
Dan confronts his online haters, then finds out his #1 detractor is Alessandra, under an assumed name. Dan makes a fake name too and they start a Twitter feud in order to generate interest.
Nate has a scandal dropped in his lap, but determines it's fake - and was about to be planted by Maureen, Trip's wife, in order to make Trip appear sympathetic and bolster his political career.
The Grandfather approves of how Nate handles the potential bombshell story, which is not to run it, as he tries to turn the Spectator into a place of honest journalism. We will see how long that lasts.
Blair turns to an unlikely person for help in turning Louis around: Chuck. By going with him to therapy, she learns she may have been the reason for his trips to the dark side. He says it's not the case.
She's depressed. He still loves her.
